Apple introduced the Mac App Store yesterday and MobiSpector is ready for it. We welcome any ideas for custom apps on MAC.
Apple introduced the Mac App Store for its range of home computers and notebooks at a press conference last night, in a move that could work to further boost the status of gaming on the platform.
The new service was announced as part of its upcoming Macintosh operating system, Mac OS X Lion, but will officially launch within 90 days – several months before the Lion's Summer 2011 release date. The setup looks to be the same as the iOS App Store, albeit an optional method of purchasing and obtaining programs.
Company CEO Steve Jobs said that the benefits Apple wanted to bring to Macintosh computers with Mac OS X Lion and the Mac App Store included auto-save, resume on launch, single-click downloads, automatic dock install and free updates. Developers will see the same 70/30 revenue split that they currently enjoy on the iOS App Store.
Launching an official Mac App Store for this purpose could enable indie and big budget game developers and publishers to thrive on the platform. The move follows Valve's release of the Mac Steam client, which the developer says will see positive results in 2011.
MobiSpector is ready for the action. We have been developing some of the most complex apps in the APP Store. Our release of this quarter of apps are going to make a difference, so hold on to our next 10 APP release in the month of November 2010.
Any enquires please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Many Thanks
