Following its introduction at recent events like SXSW and CTIA, Viewdle is definitely gaining positive momentum, and its mobile products haven’t even been released! In a nutshell, Viewdle takes face recognition to a new level by recognizing who is in your viewfinder as you snap photos and videos. This best-in-class recognition not only facilitates instant tagging of family and friends, but also enables you to save and use the Faceprints you’ve made whenever and wherever you go. You will be able to access Viewdle with your mobile in the following 3 products, coming soon to the App Store:

ViewdleFaces: This social addition will enable you to automatically tag and share photos to a variety of social networks, including Facebook. Furthermore, you can use pictures from your social networks to create Faceprints.

ViewdlePlaces: Similar to the app above, the Places element will be the first of its kind, enabling you to automatically tag and check-in your friends to Facebook’s “Places” application.

Viewdle Gaming: Viewdle has a game in the works that will be the first ever mobile augmented reality app to be based on real live people. The games will take place within the camera’s viewfinder, and should add and interesting enhancement to everyday interaction.

For more about what Viewdle will do for your mobile and what it can do for your desktop, visit viewdle.com

With so many things out there on the world wide web, how do you choose what web pages and images to focus on? What is also the greatest thing about the internet is also incredibly frustrating — namely that you can access everything (but there is only so much time in the day). Well, if you come across something that piques your interest, don’t worry about forgetting to revisit it or trying to archive it for later. Superstash is an enhanced web browser for the iPad which enables you to quickly and easily snap screen shots of any page on the web, add notes and comments, and file it away for later usage. You can also share your findings with friends through e-mail, edit the image by cropping or adding intelligent meta-data (such as tags, ratings, scribbles), and store it in the app’s built-in library, which you can organize with folders. Furthermore, Superstash contains a companion website that links you to interesting and creative sites, sorted by category, so you can surf, discover, and draw inspiration from the endless resources that exist on the web. Superstash will not only give you a certain peace of mind while perusing everything in cyberspace, it enables a much more engaging and efficient experience of the internet.

We are less than 2 weeks from being launched into the holiday season, which means travel is inevitable. If you happen to be driving home for any of the holidays, then the trip alone risks ruining the good cheer. Well, not to fear; Waze is here! This app makes driving infinitely more fun (and informative) by combining the best elements of a social networking app AND a GPS. Not only does it give you voice-guided step-by-step directions, inform you of traffic conditions and other potential hindrances on the road, and provide you with alternative routes and re-routing options, but it also enables you to connect in real time with other drivers battling the roads. Learn information from others (and empathize with them), earn cool badges, and connect with friends (new and old) via Facebook, all while enduring the endless trip home or wherever. Now that the danger of boredom and frustration is significantly decreased, the only danger that exists is being able to keep your eyes on the road…

For smartphones such as Blackberry and Symbian, Mobiola Web Camera turns the phone’s camera into a high quality web cam. However, why doesn’t this app exist for the iPhone? Especially since the newest update to the iPhone has the notable feature of a front-facing camera, presenting optimal opportunity for web cam capabilities, it is shocking that the developers of Mobiola Web Camera have not yet tackled the iPhone domain. Should this be the next step for the application, it could enable us to do things with the iPhone that we never thought possible (Chat Roulette anyone?). So, Mobiola Web Camera developers, can you rise to this challenge? And, iPhone users, what would you do if you had this awesome app?
