How these work is, based the number of clicks each day, a sponsor donates a certain amount of money or resources to the foundation in question. Three of the most popular websites to engage in such...

2Do Lite vs. Errands

As I have previously mentioned, I really enjoy apps that help people to be better organized. I myself am pretty challenged when it comes to organization and use any help that I get. 2Do Lite and Errands are two apps that are meant to help people like me keep better track of tasks, projects and of all things that need to get done. However, both apps that happen to also be free, attempt to achieve this in different ways. 2Do Lite and Errands are effective but it really is a matter of taste in terms of which one is better than the other. I prefer Errands and I will outline why that is as I compare both apps.

Mobiscope: The All-Seeing Eye

The All-Seeing Eye.  Mysterious.  Enigmatic. It has long been the symbol used by the ancient Egyptians and the Free Masons alike. The true meaning of the symbol is still elusive however.

On the other hand, SHAPE Services’ application Mobiscope brings the literal meaning of the All-Seeing Eye on mobile.

Mobiscope is essentially  a surveillance app that lets you view in REAL TIME your USB and IP cameras on iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. If you are worried about leaving your child/pet alone in the house, need to spy on your enemies, or want to figure out who keeps on stealing your afternoon snack(*insert a very angry face right here*), Mobiscope truly is the perfect application for you. Packing is an activity that can be a lot more painful than necessary and can last a really long time. I have the tendency to pack what I think I need once and then overdo it, run out of space in my bag and get so confused at what I have packed and what I haven’t, that I empty the bag and start all over again. Therefore, I hate packing, I think its a waste of time and really kind of a pain. Here is an app that will organize everything before it hits the suitcase and as a result, will allow you to pack more efficiently and without taking up so much time.

There is nothing like the feeling of holding a guitar for the first time, its heavy, awkward and all around uncomfortable. The more you practice, the more the instrument becomes an extension of your limbs and you start to wonder how you ever existed without it. This, to me is the best thing about learning an instrument and taking the time to master the craft of the instrument. However, here is an app that allows you to learn how to play the instrument without even holding a guitar.

The App Store is a wondrous place where you can find applications for nearly everything. One of the best features of the App Store is the customer ratings and reviews because they enable you to see what users find noteworthy, what is a waste of space, and what is worth investing in. However, some developers take advantage of this system to promote their product through biased reviews of their products. Even if their app is not so hot, they write raving reviews and hire PR agencies to give glowing accolades that are inaccurate and misguiding at best. And to worsen the situation, some developers even give intentionally bad reviews to competition apps to deter consumers from investing in them. Read the rest of this entry »

NOTICE: We’ve Made a Few Improvements

If you haven’t already noticed, we’ve recently made a few changes to the website.  Not big changes, just minor tweaks to improve the our site’s ability to help you find what you’re looking for.  First of all, we’ve improved the search function on our website.  If you just want to search for an app, you can type in the name of the app and the search will immediately display links to a review or description of the app.  If you’ve decided to buy the app, the review or description of the app already includes a link to the app in the app store.  Secondly, whereas the top of the left bar used to show links to our Facebook and Twitter pages, we now list our most recent blogs and reviews at the top.  Finally, we’ve added the “recently reviewed” tab under the “sort by” menu on our main page.

We’re doing it to make it easier for you to navigate our website, so try it out and let us know your thoughts about it on our forums.
