The iPad has some amazing apps for those who are artistically inclined, there are none quite like Swakker Doodle. While Swakker Doodle may not be the most advanced art app out there, it is certainly the most fun, and takes drawing to a more social realm.

Never has going green been easier. The iGreenpeace app is free and every download of it supports the organization and its environmental efforts. The main element of the app is Alex the Penguin, who, through a cute clapping game, teaches you about global warming and what is being done to stop it as well as what obstacles still stand in the way of attacking it. This is a particularly good tool for teaching kids about what’s going on and why it’s important. The app also links you to a constant feed of Greenpeace news, and enables you to quickly and easily sign up to be a Greenpeace activist or donate the cause (of course, only if you wish). So even if you’re not ready to swap your convertible for a Prius, or if you’re just looking for a simple and noncomittal way to hop on the eco-train, downloading the iGreenpeace app is sure to give you some green peace of mind. |
