Business and technology have always relied on each other for development and growth. It's no surprise that developers for the iPhone are constantly finding ways to integrate the two. Apps that fit this purpose mostly come in the form of office apps. These apps allow users to read and share the...

eBay, like several other big web sites with complex pages, is almost unusable on the iPhone because of the sheer amount of zooming in and panning around needed in order to see the things needed to carry out your 'business'. Thankfully, there's an iPhone-optimised version of eBay, with acce...

While the human brain is capable of many things, remembering names is not always one of them. Well…there’s an app to help that. Whoodl allows you to input names along with identifying keywords so that you can easily recall who people are the next time you see them. Even if they are not particularly noteworthy or contact-worthy people, this still helps avoid the embarassing “Hey…you” moments. All you have to do is search your names list before you anticipate running into a certain group of people or enter the identifying keywords into the search when you run into someone whose name is beyond your memory, and you will forever be known as the person who is good with names. |

Craigslist is many things to many people. For some it’s a marketplace where anything and everything they need is at hand (for a price); for others it’s a dark place that hides within it shady, underhanded, and often times disturbingly hilarious dealings. Whatever it may seem to people, the one thing that is certain is that it has become a major phenomenon on the internet. Whether you’re looking for something to buy, some help, or someone to talk to, Craigslist will have it covered, making it one of the most widely appealing websites out there. And now it’s available as an app for the iPhone.

While a great deal of energy has been devoted to how LBS has affected social networking, there is one other realm that has experienced its profound effects. The world of marketing has not only changed with the introduction of social networking media, but the recent fad of social LBS game/apps is adding a new dimension to how people find and experience places and products. Because the apps are so fun and social, people tend to forget how much advertising and marketing play into them. Fortunately, there are no annoying ad banners, but the simple listing of a nearby place or product is enough to get its name out there and known. Couple that with the fact that all your friends are there or you read an interesting review about it, and bam! — consumer base is multiplied.

First of all congratulations everybody that the wait and hype is finally over. All of us at iPhoneApplicationList.com are very excited about the new device. We see a lot of opinions in the press that it looks like “overgrown giant iPhone” or that there are no new features on the iPad compared to iPhone.
I do not think so! The tremendous difference is exactly in the screen size, content (movies, newspapers, books) made for big screen and WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT — APPS for big screen! Developers, just think about the opportunity of developing and using new innovative interfaces with huge multi-touch OLED beauty! This is a new platform even if it looks same as iPhone and huge challenge to get your applications right and discover all the new use cases of the device.
Do not get mislead. We are going to see a success of iPad. |
